The Shrine is the Atlantis episode I’ve been waiting for

I love Stargate Atlantis, probably to the exclusion of all other tv shows currently playing first run episodes at the moment. That’s not to say I don’t love others, because I dearly love Eureka and Chuck, Monk, Psych, and Paranormal State. All these shows tickle my fancy in some way or other.

Atlantis, on the other hand, revs my engine. :-)

McKay episodes particularly get me going, because I find him so fun to watch. His high pitched whining, doomsday proclamations, and none too subtle ego get the occasional break when a moment of vulnerability shines through. Those moments are worth waiting for in every episode, and even when they don’t come, I’m on the hook for the next possible sighting.

I love Rodney. I’m a fan. What can I say?

The Shrine looks to be a perfect opportunity for me to glimpse many moments of vulnerability in Rodney McKay and I’m very much looking forward to this particular Stargate Atlantis episode.
