Stargate: Continuum will be Davis's final Stargate appearance. He passed away on June 29th, 2008 after having a major heart attack. He was 65 years old.
General George Hammond ran Stargate Command for seven years before being promoted to work more directly for the President as "Head of Homeworld Security." He was always willing to do whatever it took to get the teams out safely and when he wasn't able to do anything, you knew he worried over their fates.
