This list isn’t exhaustive. There might be more great TV universes. I know I’ve heard great things about Babylon 5, but alas, I’ve never gotten around to watching—although that’s about to change. Netflix has all the seasons on instant play and I’ve put them into my queue.
Battlestar Galactica could have made the list at one time. But that last episode ruined the entire series for me, so I rewatch only the original miniseries from Syfy. That’s not the first time something like that has happened to me.
Quantum Leap was the great love of my teen viewing years, until that horrible last episode, and so, I do not watch repeats of Quantum Leap either.
I can forgive a lot in a show when the characters are treated right, but when they’re not… I can certainly hold a grudge for a long, long, long time.
